Free Quran Journaling Sheets: Rain

After a winter of drought here in NSW, we've been getting plenty of rain now in spring Alhamdulillah! What better time to teach your children about how Allah gathers the clouds and made it rain wherever He pleases?

It's also great to accompany the study of the Water Cycle or a study on a unit about the weather. Or it can be a stand-alone reflection on Allah's creation. It's really up to you.

The ayah I chose for this set of printables is:

Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight. (Quran, An Nur 24:43)
For the first page, have your child copy the Arabic of the ayah into the box (or you could do that if your child is not yet able to write in Arabic). Colour the clouds and read the English translation. On the second page, read a tafsir of the ayah, write any important points down and reflect on what this ayah means. Finally, in the small box, write down any action that your child plans to take to put into practice what was learnt from the ayah.
